Three layers of light every luxury kitchen needs
The difference between a nice kitchen and a stunning one is usually the lighting plan.
Task light
LED tape under the upper cabinets puts light right on the counter where you cut and cook. Pick a warm 2700–3000K so food and stone look their best.
Ambient light
Slim recessed cans on a dimmer give even light across the room. Plan them in rows about 2 feet off the cabinet faces so they don't cast shadows on you.
Accent light
Pendants over the island and a glow inside glass cabinets or toe-kicks are the jewellery. They are what people photograph.
